Our foundation is generational
The LaMarca’s have been in the barber business longer than you’ve been alive. In 1933, brothers Sam Sr. and Louie “Buzzy” LaMarca (1st generation) open up LaMarca’s Barbershop on 154th and Kinsman Ave. in Cleveland, OH. In 1966, Sam Sr. decided to go his own way. He opened up his own shop in Mayfield Heights on the corner of Mayfield and SOM Center. Sam continued to have many years of success until 1985 when he passed away and his son, Sam LaMarca Jr (2nd generation) took over, continuing the family trade. Sam Jr impacted his community in more ways than one, contributing to the lives of many individuals. His friends, children, and nephew (3rd generation) all worked there, having great success on their own, until he sold his shop to friend and protege, Laura Clemente, owner of LaBarberia Barber College in 2003.
In 2008, his grandson, Joe LaMarca (4th generation) attended barber school at All State Barber College under the ownership of CLEVELAND BARBER LEGEND Phil D’Amico. Starting his career at LaBarberia, Joe worked at a few different shops before opening up his own in 2014. Fast forward a few years and LaMarca’s Barbershop is one of the most popular, and fastest growing barbershops in Cleveland. With help from new talent, and experienced veterans, you’re guaranteed to get the haircut you want.
